Irene is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria.

Irene was born in Switzerland where she studied architectural design, later pursuing studies in graphic design and working as a commercial artist in Canada and Switzerland.

Irene's art is informed by nature and my experience of life’s beauty. She practices sketching, drawing, painting landscape plein air and portraiture, this in rapid renderings to instil a sense of immediacy, capturing the feelings and mood of the moment
