I've been painting ever since I can remember as my family was an artistic group that encouraged painting, knitting, weaving, ceramics, sewing, ballet and piano lessons.

A childhood on Vancouver Island running on beaches and exploring forests and flower gardens has inspired in me colorful expressionistic works and a love of plein air painting.

I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UBC and have had both a solo and a group show at the Ferry Building Art Gallery in West Vancouver. The freedom of expression through painting and never knowing where a painting is going to take me is both meditative and exciting.

Painting, to me, is a process of discovery, like a journey into light and revelation. I express my experience of seeing and its emotional effect with layers of paint - using color to evoke that emotion or sense.
